Built over 800 years ago and the burial site of the mortal remains of Saint Patrick, Down Cathedral is a place of pilgrimage and worship.

During recent renovations, Atlas was appointed to design, install and maintain an audio visual system throughout the cathedral, to enhance and complement the existing system. Following our site assessment, we recommended a siting plan to optimise the quality of sound reaching all areas of the cathedral. The loudspeakers provide for intelligent speech in highly reverberant spaces. New digital beam steering arrays, a digital mixer, radio microphones and a new DDA loop cable were installed and integrated with the existing equipment to provide significantly improved sound across the cathedral.
