Project Overview
Alpha Housing appointed Atlas World to design, supply, and commission complete fire alarm, CCTV, warden call, and door entry systems for the new Baronsgrange development in Carryduff. As part of the new-build programme, our role was to deliver fully safe, compliant, and reliable systems for future residents. The works ensured seamless integration across all apartments and communal areas, providing modern life safety, communication, and security functionality from day one.
System Design & Components
The new systems were designed to integrate seamlessly with the building’s wider electrical infrastructure, providing full coverage and reliable operation.
Key elements included
• Addressable Fire Alarm System providing automatic detection, manual call points, and sounder coverage throughout flats and communal areas.
• CCTV System offering internal and external surveillance to improve security and monitoring for residents and management.
• Warden Call System allowing reliable communication between residents and on-site staff.
• Door Entry System managing secure access and integrating with other security systems.
Challenges Faced
The project required multi-trade coordination across electrical, security, and building teams, while working within tight timescales to align with the overall new-build programme.
Approach & Coordination
Atlas World implemented a phased installation plan, liaising closely with client representatives and other contractors to maintain workflow and minimise disruption. The team ensured all systems were installed safely and efficiently, with careful scheduling and continuous communication to guarantee live functionality throughout the project
